The Oasis of Nevada, Winnemucca, is once again kicking off the best dang party this side of New Orleans. 32 years of incredible softball action, fantastic awards, perfect fields, old friends, new friends and just about anything your little heart desires awaits you at the annual “MARDI GRAS OF THE WEST”.  This is a must be there event! So let's get those party spikes shined up, entry forms in and motel reservations made. Mark your calendar cause we are only taking the first 100 teams.

• Date:  July 20, 21 & 22, 1st game 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 20th.
• Fee $275.00 per team — Men's or Women's
• 1st through 4th individual awards, 1st through 3rd sponsor, All-Tourney Team and MVP
• DEADLINE - JULY 13TH - 12 Noon (On line registration will close at that time)
• No personal checks will be accepted.
• NO STEEL CLEATS!!!! — NO WHINING!!!

2012 44-Hour Tournament Rules

The following rules are designed to conserve time and eliminate confusion.
Please follow them, as they WILL be enforced.

1. The tournament Directors decisions are final. NO WHINING!
2. Disclaimers, fees or other required paper work must be in 1/2 hour before the first game. (Forfeit)
3. Play with the team you came with. (A.S.A. Rules apply)
4. Umpires have Official Time. Teams are responsible for verifying time at game start and end.
5. Game time is forfeit time. No new inning will start after 50 minutes.
6. Teams must be at field ready to play 30 minutes prior to schedule game time. Late team will become visitor and home team will be rewarded 2 runs / 5 minutes until game time. (Forfeit) Fondly referred to as the "Ding Rule".
7. Run rule: 20 after 3 innings, 15 after 4 innings, and 10 after 5 innings. Except championship bracket.
8. Ties: after time expiration or 7 innings a one pitch tie breaker will begin. One pitch to each batter with a "man" on second base.
9. Batters begin with a 1 ball and 1 strike count. NO EXTRA FOUL.
10. No home runs at main complex. Home runs are outs with No advance.
11. One courtesy runner per inning / last out.
12. No steel cleats. IMMEDIATE REMOVAL OR EJECTION. All bats must meet Current ASA approval and / or tourney restrictions.
13. In the event of weather delays a one pitch rule will be enforced to remedy schedule conflicts.
14. All other rules are A.S.A. All other questions are covered by Rule #1. This is a Fun tournament
